Capturing the Moment

Personal

Winning Image - Beaconsfield CFA, Hillcrest Rangers

This particular image just won an award and prize money for Hillcrest Rangers. I can’t wait to reveal how or who it was through - that information will come as they publisize the award and presentation in 2 weeks time. This is fantastic for the Hillcrest Ranger Ministry. We were so thankful for the Beaconsfield Fire Brigade when they came to Hillcrest Rangers last year to teach and demonstrate what the CFA do. We are even more thankful to the Fire Department at this time as they have been working tirelessly over the past few weeks of the fires and we would like to honour them for their hard work and dedication.

Camping Trip

It was so refreshing to go camping at the end of last week, be it only for a few days. We were blessed to camp at a beautiful family’s farm down near Phillip Island. Of course, I couldn’t take a break from my camera, and came back with hundreds of shots.

Here a few of my favourites

The new landscape…

Emerald Eye Photography will soon be relocating to a new studio. We are quite excited about our expansion and are also thrilled with the new photo opportunities the new studio offers.

As soon as we have confirmation of the address we will post more information. In the meantime, here is a landscape from the new studio’s location. So many photo opportunities!

Some Macro work with my new lens

I got a new lens for my birthday… A Tamron 90mm 2.8 - the portrait lens of choice for many. I wanted to try out some of it’s macro capabilities, it performed well. The images are at High ISO’s though and I was not using a tripod, next time I venture out, I’ll go a bit earlier and take a tripod with me for sharper, smoother results

Also here is a pic of my favourite people… Well my husband Stuart and my beautiful Golden Retriever, Gemma.

Our family outing…

Emerald is a beautiful place. We are so blessed to be living just on the edge of Emerald Lake Park. Our dog, Gemma, loves going to the park… We took her down there yesterday afternoon for an adventure. It was beautiful light, so I took the camera with me.

Stuey with Gemma, how cute!

Gemma is the best dog in the world!

Kookaburra sits on the swing…

Perfect timing.
